About Bruce

We all need access to the compassionate presence of another. The work we will do together will be free-from-judgement and will invite the kind of bravery that only comes as trust is built.

In my clinical work, I use an integrative, client centred approach in the treatment of addiction, anxiety, body, gender identity and sexuality, career stress, depression, eating disorders, family issues, porn addiction, relationship issues, sexual abuse, sexual problems, and trauma.

Together we will explore which modalities best suits your needs: Attachment Theory; Emotion Focused Therapy (EFS / IFIOS); Existential Psychotherapy; Family Systems Therapy; Internal Family Systems (IFS); Narrative Therapy; Sex Therapy; Spiritual Direction; or Trauma-Related Dissociation interventions.

My master’s degree in intercultural psychotherapy and multi-faith psychospiritual care (Knox College, University of Toronto, Spring 2023) has brought to my practice a cross-cultural, all-faith awareness of the effect that cultural and spiritual experience may have one’s overall wellbeing — both positive and negative. If cultural challenges or religious wound are part of your experience, they can be part of your healing.

I am known for my work in the performing arts for bringing awareness to issues of addiction, childhood trauma, eating disorders, gender identity and experience, mental health issues, and 2SLGBTQIAP+ dynamics. I continue to serve as an active member of outACTRAto (ACTRA) and the Association of Acting Coaches and Educators (AACE) in promoting advocacy for social, physical, and emotional safety in the performing arts and performing arts training.

Cancellation Policy

When you book a session, your clinician reserves their time for you. In the event that you will be unable to keep an appointment, please notify your clinician at least 24 hours in advance, so that someone else may utilize the time. Similarly, when your clinician is unable to keep the appointment with you, they will give you more than a 24-hour notice and rebook to another date and time.

In the case whereby you are unable to provide 24-hour cancellation notice (e.g., you cancel an appointment on the day of the appointment [i.e., the same day] or do not show up for a scheduled appointment), unless for emergency reasons (e.g., medical or family emergencies), you will be charged the fee for your session and payment will be required at your next scheduled session.

Note: Employee Assistance Programs and other insurance-based programs will not reimburse you, the client, for missed appointment costs.
