About Adam

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (2009) and a Bachelor of Education in Social Sciences (2013), both from the University of Victoria, and a Master of Education in Adult Counselling and Psychotherapy (2016) from the University of Toronto. I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, and an Ontario Validated Clinical Supervisor (OVCS) with the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals. I am also a certified teacher in Ontario, British Columbia, and the Yukon.

Raised in Prince Edward County and now practicing in Toronto, I bring a cross-regional perspective shaped by clinical work in urban and rural settings across Canada. My experience includes supporting inner-city populations, adult survivors of childhood trauma, and members of the LGBTQQ2S+ community. As a gay man, I am passionate about creating a therapeutic environment rooted in safety, affirmation, and emotional resonance – where clients feel heard, seen, and valued.

I practice from a collaborative, integrative approach informed by Attachment Theory, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, and Somatic modalities. My clinical work focuses primarily on adult clients (ages 21–85+), with presenting concerns including complex trauma, cPTSD / PTSD, depression and anxiety, gender/sexuality-related experiences, in addition to identity and relational challenges.

Cancellation Policy

When you book a session, your clinician reserves their time for you. In the event that you will be unable to keep an appointment, please notify your clinician at least 24 hours in advance, so that someone else may utilize the time. Similarly, when your clinician is unable to keep the appointment with you, they will give you more than a 24-hour notice and rebook to another date and time.

In the case whereby you are unable to provide 24-hour cancellation notice (e.g., you cancel an appointment on the day of the appointment [i.e., the same day] or do not show up for a scheduled appointment), unless for emergency reasons (e.g., medical or family emergencies), you will be charged the fee for your session and payment will be required at your next scheduled session.

Note: Employee Assistance Programs and other insurance-based programs will not reimburse you, the client, for missed appointment costs.
