About Christopher

Having completed a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Governance from Toronto Metropolitan University in 2009 and a Master of Social Work (MSW), specializing in health and mental health, from the University of Toronto in 2012, I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW: 820613). In 2017, I also completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Octopus Garden Holistic Yoga Centre.

Primarily working with adults, I practice from an eclectic approach to best support client care and draw on Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), in addition to elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Problem-Solving Therapy, and Solutions-Focused Therapy. I have also completed the Supported Conversations for Adults with Aphasia training from the Aphasia Institute.

Growing up in Toronto, the experience of support I received as a queer person in Toronto’s 2SLGBTIQ communities inspires the work I do today. The focus of my experience has been in support of individuals experiencing anxiety, brain injury or stroke, caregiver stress, depression, difficulties in adjusting to illness or injury, integration of psychedelic experiences, problematic sexual behaviour, and sexuality. It is my hope that we can build a space where you feel comfortable reflecting on and discussing important issues in your life.

Secondary Assessments for Transition-Related Surgery (TRS)

Secondary Assessments for Transition-Related Surgery (TRS) require an initial 80-minute consultation session and 80-minutes for writing the report. If Christopher identifies only one 80-minute consultation as necessary to complete the report, a payment of $275 will be required at the end of the initial 80-minute consultation session and Christopher will produce the secondary assessment report, sent via Owl Secure Messenger, within 2-weeks following the initial 80-minute consultation session. Payment can be made through cash, debit, or eTransfer.

If Christopher identifies additional sessions (beyond the initial 80-minute assessment) are necessary and you agree to meet for those sessions, an additional $92 will be added for every 50-minute session to the base amount of $275. If you decide to postpone further appointments, you will only be required to pay $138 at the conclusion of the initial consultation session understanding that Christopher will not create any secondary assessment report until future appointments are scheduled and the full fee is paid.

Note: If you have extended health benefits, you will be able to submit the receipt for this service to your provider for reimbursement if you are covered for services rendered by a RSW / MSW clinician.

Cancellation Policy

When you book a session, your clinician reserves their time for you. In the event that you will be unable to keep an appointment, please notify your clinician at least 24 hours in advance, so that someone else may utilize the time. Similarly, when your clinician is unable to keep the appointment with you, they will give you more than a 24-hour notice and rebook to another date and time.

In the case whereby you are unable to provide 24-hour cancellation notice (e.g., you cancel an appointment on the day of the appointment [i.e., the same day] or do not show up for a scheduled appointment), unless for emergency reasons (e.g., medical or family emergencies), you will be charged the fee for your session and payment will be required at your next scheduled session.

Note: Employee Assistance Programs and other insurance-based programs will not reimburse you, the client, for missed appointment costs.
