About Elizabeth

I am a compassionate and dedicated psychotherapist working with individuals aged 7+. I offer a wide range of services from Military Family Counselling to Couples Counselling. My passion lies in guiding my clients through the process of reconnecting with themselves and developing effective strategies to cope with the ups and downs of life.  I draw primarily from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) while integrating aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Feminist Theory, Narrative Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. What does this all mean?

My beliefs reflect that true healing begins with self-awareness and acceptance. I strive to create a warm and nonjudgmental space where my clients feel safe to explore their experiences, feelings, and thoughts. Together, we work to uncover the underlying causes of their struggles and identify strengths they may have overlooked. One of the key aspects of my approach is helping clients develop effective coping strategies to navigate the mundane aspects of life. From managing stress and anxiety to finding meaning and purpose in daily routines. I empower my clients to cultivate self-awareness, build resilience, and embrace life’s challenges with courage and grace to create meaningful change in their lives.

I completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Lakehead University and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Practitioners.

Cancellation Policy

When you book a session, your clinician reserves their time for you. In the event that you will be unable to keep an appointment, please notify your clinician at least 24 hours in advance, so that someone else may utilize the time. Similarly, when your clinician is unable to keep the appointment with you, they will give you more than a 24-hour notice and rebook to another date and time.

In the case whereby you are unable to provide 24-hour cancellation notice (e.g., you cancel an appointment on the day of the appointment [i.e., the same day] or do not show up for a scheduled appointment), unless for emergency reasons (e.g., medical or family emergencies), you will be charged the fee for your session and payment will be required at your next scheduled session.

Note: Employee Assistance Programs and other insurance-based programs will not reimburse you, the client, for missed appointment costs.
