About Jennifer

I completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology from Trent University in 2021 and am currently completing a Master of Education in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Toronto. I am a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).

Prior to my studies in psychology, I worked in the developmental services field, providing person-centred advocacy and care for adults with exceptional needs. I have also worked with diverse individuals and populations to provide mindfulness and yoga instruction, pastoral care, palliative, grief, and bereavement support, in addition to youth mentorship. These experiences have informed my clinical work and I remain deeply committed to providing client-centred, culturally sensitive, trauma-informed care.

It is an honour to cultivate a genuinely supportive, non-judgmental, and safe space for clients to process their experiences, share their stories, and explore their identities, interpersonal relationships, spirituality, and values. I offer services to adults from an anti-oppressive, intersectional lens and draw on a range of therapeutic modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focussed Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. Centring clients as the expert of their experiences, I seek to empower and collaborate with them as they deepen their self-awareness, build connection and resilience, and find healing.

Cancellation Policy

When you book a session, your clinician reserves their time for you. In the event that you will be unable to keep an appointment, please notify your clinician at least 24 hours in advance, so that someone else may utilize the time. Similarly, when your clinician is unable to keep the appointment with you, they will give you more than a 24-hour notice and rebook to another date and time.

In the case whereby you are unable to provide 24-hour cancellation notice (e.g., you cancel an appointment on the day of the appointment [i.e., the same day] or do not show up for a scheduled appointment), unless for emergency reasons (e.g., medical or family emergencies), you will be charged the fee for your session and payment will be required at your next scheduled session.

Note: Employee Assistance Programs and other insurance-based programs will not reimburse you, the client, for missed appointment costs.
