About Jennifer

You are the expert of your lived and felt experiences, and the work we do together will be in the context of a genuinely supportive and non-judgmental space where you can bravely explore your emotions, experiences, identities, interpersonal relationships, spirituality, and values. I believe in your capacity for growth, and my aim is to empower you as you deepen your self-awareness, build connections and resilience, and find healing.

Practicing from an anti-oppressive, neurodiversity-affirming, and trauma-informed lens, I specifically enjoy collaborating with clients (aged 17+) who have presenting concerns related to ADHD, anxiety, body image issues, depression, grief, low self-esteem, parenting, perfectionism, and/or spiritual wounds. I primarily utilize an Emotion-Focused Therapy framework and often draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy.

I completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Trent University (2021) and a Master of Education in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Toronto (2024). I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP). Prior to my studies in psychology, I worked in the developmental services field, providing person-centred advocacy and care for neurodivergent adults with exceptional needs. I have also provided mindfulness and yoga instruction, pastoral care, palliative, grief, and bereavement support, and youth mentorship. These experiences inform my clinical work, and I remain deeply committed to providing client-centred care.

Cancellation Policy

When you book a session, your clinician reserves their time for you. In the event that you will be unable to keep an appointment, please notify your clinician at least 24 hours in advance, so that someone else may utilize the time. Similarly, when your clinician is unable to keep the appointment with you, they will give you more than a 24-hour notice and rebook to another date and time.

In the case whereby you are unable to provide 24-hour cancellation notice (e.g., you cancel an appointment on the day of the appointment [i.e., the same day] or do not show up for a scheduled appointment), unless for emergency reasons (e.g., medical or family emergencies), you will be charged the fee for your session and payment will be required at your next scheduled session.

Note: Employee Assistance Programs and other insurance-based programs will not reimburse you, the client, for missed appointment costs.
