About Megan

A significant privilege of my clinical work includes collaborating in the journey towards confidence, contentment, self-love, and peace. I enjoy working with older adolescents and adults with concerns related to anger, anxiety, depression, existentialism, grief, low self-esteem, relational conflict, spirituality, suicidality, and trauma. I draw primarily from Narrative and Solution-Focused Therapies while integrating aspects of Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, Polyvagal Theory, Psychodynamic Therapy, Rogerian Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy, and trauma-informed processing.

My approach to therapy is person-centred and collaborative. In session, we will address your therapeutic concerns by exploring your behaviours, feelings, and thoughts. Additionally, you will be able to detail your therapeutic goals which will help us to focus sessions and monitor progress. Together, we can assess behaviours and beliefs you hold that support you, as well as others that may be holding you back from experiencing the life you desire. I often encourage clients to practice therapeutic exercises between sessions to further facilitate improvement and foster change.

I completed a Master of Arts in English from Andrews University in Michigan and a Master of Pastoral Studies in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy from Knox College at the University of Toronto. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and am currently a member of the Canadian Association of Spiritual Care (CASC).

Cancellation Policy

When you book a session, your clinician reserves their time for you. In the event that you will be unable to keep an appointment, please notify your clinician at least 24 hours in advance, so that someone else may utilize the time. Similarly, when your clinician is unable to keep the appointment with you, they will give you more than a 24-hour notice and rebook to another date and time.

In the case whereby you are unable to provide 24-hour cancellation notice (e.g., you cancel an appointment on the day of the appointment [i.e., the same day] or do not show up for a scheduled appointment), unless for emergency reasons (e.g., medical or family emergencies), you will be charged the fee for your session and payment will be required at your next scheduled session.

Note: Employee Assistance Programs and other insurance-based programs will not reimburse you, the client, for missed appointment costs.
