About Mitchell
Reaching out for support often happens at moments when life feels overwhelming, when emotions are hard to regulate, and when thoughts and experiences feel difficult to make sense of alone. I work with clients who are looking for a space to slow down, reflect, and better understand themselves with care and intention. At the core of my work is the belief that meaningful change happens through a strong therapeutic connection. I strive to create an environment grounded in trust, openness, and curiosity—where clients feel safe to explore their experiences without judgment. Therapy with me is collaborative; we work together to make sense of patterns, process emotions, and move toward the changes that feel most important to you. Over the past decade, I have focused on refining my practice in supporting the queer community, individuals navigating addiction and recovery, trauma, and sexuality. I have a particular interest in working with men who engage in PnP (party and play), offering a space that is both affirming and non-shaming. As a gay man, I understand the importance of feeling seen and validated, and I aim to create a therapeutic space where your lived experience is genuinely heard, respected, and supported. My approach to therapy is integrative and tailored to each individual. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, Schema Therapy, and more recently, Internal Family Systems (IFS). This allows us to work flexibly—whether the focus is on building practical coping skills, exploring deeper emotional patterns, or understanding different parts of yourself. I primarily work with adults (18+), and also support couples and families in strengthening connection, improving communication, and healing relational wounds.
Secondary Assessments for Transition-Related Surgery (TRS)
Secondary Assessments for Transition-Related Surgery (TRS) require an initial 80-minute consultation session and 80-minutes for writing the report. If Mitchell identifies only one 80-minute consultation as necessary to complete the report, a payment of $275 will be required at the end of the initial 80-minute consultation session and Mitchell will produce the secondary assessment report, sent via Owl Secure Messenger, within 2-weeks following the initial 80-minute consultation session. Payment can be made through cash, debit, or eTransfer.
If Mitchell identifies additional sessions (beyond the initial 80-minute assessment) are necessary and you agree to meet for those sessions, an additional $92 will be added for every 50-minute session to the base amount of $275. If you decide to postpone further appointments, you will only be required to pay $138 at the conclusion of the initial consultation session understanding that Mitchell will not create any secondary assessment report until future appointments are scheduled and the full fee is paid.
Note: If you have extended health benefits, you will be able to submit the receipt for this service to your provider for reimbursement if you are covered for services rendered by a RSW / MSW clinician.

Cancellation Policy
When you book a session, your clinician reserves their time for you. In the event that you will be unable to keep an appointment, please notify your clinician at least 24 hours in advance, so that someone else may utilize the time. Similarly, when your clinician is unable to keep the appointment with you, they will give you more than a 24-hour notice and rebook to another date and time.
In the case whereby you are unable to provide 24-hour cancellation notice (e.g., you cancel an appointment on the day of the appointment [i.e., the same day] or do not show up for a scheduled appointment), unless for emergency reasons (e.g., medical or family emergencies), you will be charged the fee for your session and payment will be required at your next scheduled session.
Note: Employee Assistance Programs and other insurance-based programs will not reimburse you, the client, for missed appointment costs.
