About Sandra
Having graduated from York University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and from The CREATE Institute in 1998, I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and have been utilizing a humanistic, person-centred approach, incorporating evidence-based techniques, expressive arts, and mindfulness modalities into my work for over 20 years. I have a passion for expressive arts and meaningful community involvement and have had the opportunity to make positive connections with marginalized individuals and communities using a trauma-informed lens, inviting individual and community art participation and reflection in addition to providing mental health support. My experience includes working with complex mental health conditions, grief and loss, self-care, in addition to trauma and resiliency. I incorporate eclectic psychotherapy techniques including a strengths-based perspective and solution-focused emphasis to meet individual goals. I have facilitated women’s groups and groups that supported healthy relationships, positive self-image and sexuality for individuals with ASD encouraging inclusion, access to information and resources. My experience has also involved providing support to families which have been impacted by a family member’s complex mental health needs.
Autism Assessments
In consultation and collaboration with a Clinical Psychologist, Sandra is available to conduct autism assessments which require an initial 110-minute consultation session and a subsequent 50-minute session to discuss the report summary. The cost for this full assessment is $2,000 and payment is due at the conclusion of the initial 110-minute consultation session. Payment can be made through cash, credit card, debit, or eTransfer.
Note: If you have extended health benefits, you will be able to submit the receipt for this service to your provider for reimbursement if you are covered for psychological services.

Cancellation Policy
When you book a session, your clinician reserves their time for you. In the event that you will be unable to keep an appointment, please notify your clinician at least 24 hours in advance, so that someone else may utilize the time. Similarly, when your clinician is unable to keep the appointment with you, they will give you more than a 24-hour notice and rebook to another date and time.
In the case whereby you are unable to provide 24-hour cancellation notice (e.g., you cancel an appointment on the day of the appointment [i.e., the same day] or do not show up for a scheduled appointment), unless for emergency reasons (e.g., medical or family emergencies), you will be charged the fee for your session and payment will be required at your next scheduled session.
Note: Employee Assistance Programs and other insurance-based programs will not reimburse you, the client, for missed appointment costs.
